I have 6 workshops, and they average 500 denars a day each. You don't need mods to make money with a workshop. You just need to learn to do it right. In other words, you don't have a have a workshop problem. You have a 'git gud' problem. This isn't like in Warband where you bought them and forgot them.

Maybe every 10-15 day they give profit once. When you set up workshop, look what towns belongs to it and what these towns produce, then check the market of the mentioned city, and look what that city has the most. 2. Look for the city with higher prosperity. To make a profit on a workshop in 1 Calradian year you generally need at least 200 denars per day. Something worth noting is that if you start a caravan in a workshop city you can get even more money because the caravan will buy the goods from your workshop and sell them for extra elsewhere.A workshop's success depends on the local economy. It needs (1) a steady supply of cheap raw materials and (2) a demand for the produced goods. Tip: Seek the vicinity of villages that produce the required raw materials. Tip: Avoid the vicinity of other workshops of the same type. Caravans make a lot of money if you are not at war, that means they are incredibly useful in the early stages of the game as you build your reknown. They are still worth it later on but will get destroyed on occasion by enemies or even bandits, mine don´t seem to get any more troops, at clan rank 4 the caravans still only have 30 troops.
As a mercenary, you get paid based on your influence. You lose 20% per day and are paid for the influence lost at your contract rate. So if you have 10 influence and a contract that pays 200, you would lose 2 and get paid 400 for that day. For the next day (if you gained no influence), you would have 8 influence, losing 1.6 and being paid 320.
No, the caravan is still doing its thing. It's visiting settlements, it's just not making any money. Try finding the caravan and talking to your companion and see what they have in their stock. If it is empty maybe it is a bug. Stop caravan and re deploy it.- Фኄռиμуሒጃ пጪտощ էጅዘдамըςե

TW (Total War) Makes the game better at every single update. Even when they release a not fleshed out content, they'll figure out how to make it work and make it awesome. TW (Taleworld) keep making the game worse, grindy and more miserable at every single update. No wonder why they took 8 years to release this empty content game. KILL THE HERETIC!
