My Canon 5D MK3 isn't even 2 years old at this point, and I'm the only owner. Suddenly one morning before a wedding - my 5D MKIII would not turn on. After removing the batteries, including the clock battery, and waiting a while, I was able to reset the camera. After various tests, I've narrowed this issue down to introducing the SD card. Long story short, I purchased a brand new Canon 6D from B&H on Oct 24th, 2013. From early december, the camera starts to shut itself off randomly and displaying empty battery. I found the camera constantly shuts itself off after 20 - 100 continuous shots with a FULLY charged battery (right off charger, showing 8.23V using multimeter, and
Turn the metal unit over and see if there are threaded holes (which would indicate tightening from inside the camera) or sheared off screw heads sticking out. John Hoffman. Canon obviously was in a hurry putting the 6d together because of the d600 pressure, and even though they choose good ol' 60d and 5d2 components doesn't mean the 6d got thorough testing. Just return the thing until you get a good one, I'm sure the retailers won't make a fuzz because they are very well aware recently introduced products often Sometimes camera will not turn on (power switch from Off to On), even with a freshly charged battery. When turning on, the camera shows ERR 06 in the sensor cleaning unit, and I cannot use the camera at all. I was able to find "hard reset" instructions on the internet (power off, remove both batteries, turn power on for 5+ minutes, then insert

No flash is fired during this process either. Continue to hold the shutter button halfway until focus is achieved, at which point the image will return to the LCD. Then you can press the shutter button the rest of the way down to take the picture. The flash will fire and an image will be recorded.
Re: 5D Mark IV won't turn on - help! The only thing that comes to mind is trying a hard reset. I'm not sure if the 5DIV works the same way, but earlier models had a reset procedure that involved removing the main battery AND the lithium backup battery, waiting a few minutes, then replacing them.
Two things. 1. Sit it on a warm heating pad, not hot, just warm for several days. Open all doors and leave the lens off. 2. Call Canon 1 (800) 652-2666. In the future never turn on an electrical device if it gets wet until it drys thoroughly. You can short our the MB. Big problem.
If a 5D Mark II and using a grip, be sure the grip is tight. If a 1D Mark II, try a different battery or changing the date/time battery. If any of the Mark II lenses, sorry but I don't know how to turn a lens on. If a Jaguar Mark II, wow I wish I had one of these classics! But I fear the Jag had Lucas electrics which are super unreliable. The 'DISP.' button is the one you have to press several times while in live mode to remove the histogram. No need to press play either. 0 Likes. Reply. 1. 2. 3. Solved: Visited the camera shop over this past weekend. The person helping me turned the Histogram on so after a shot is taken, this is displayed.

I have a Canon 6D (mark 1) and I was looking to use my existing Speedlite 270EX II as an off-camera flash. The flash works great on the camera but it's not recognised off it. I bought a Yongnuo RF603C II wireless flash trigger in the hope that would allow my 270EX II to work off the camera but I just can't get the flash to work.

I get "Connection target not found" Then EOS Utility cycles in opening and closing. Additionally: I cleared all the settings twice and entered the key correctly. In WFT Pairing Software, I connect, EOS Utility pops up, then "Camera Settings/ Remote Shooting" remains grayed out. Also the Camera disappears within WFT Pairing Software.
11-23-2021 04:57 PM. Hey everyone I've been trying to troubleshoot an issue I'm having with my Canon EOS 6D Mark ii when using it with my Godox X2TC Trigger and TT600 Speedlite. The specific issue is that when using the flash, I can't shoot at the camera's max sync speed of 1/180. Every shot at that shutter speed produces some form of black bar
If yes proceed to step three. If no: The camera receives power but will not turn on because either the main switch, the microswitch of the battery door, the microswitch of the CF card compartment, or several switches are not working. Check those switches. Use screwdrivers to check the operation of the microswitches. .
